How we handle personal information.

Draft. This page has not yet been reviewed by our lawyers. Remove this note once it has.

This page explains how Seafold Pty Ltd (ACN 702 984 236), trading as Seafold Linen & Laundry, handles personal information. We handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through this website we collect what you enter: your name, your organisation, your email address and telephone number, the kind of business you run, the number of properties, and your message.

When you are a named user of the client portal we hold your name, your work email address, a protected form of your password, and a record of what you do in the portal, such as the orders you save and the reports you send.

When we deliver, the docket is signed by the client's contact and we keep the signed docket. If a photo is sent with a problem report we keep it with the report. Our depot has security cameras, which record anyone who collects linen there.

When you deal with us as a client or a supplier we hold the business contact details you give us.

Why we collect it and how we use it

We use this information to answer enquiries, to prepare proposals, to supply and invoice our services, to run the client portal, and to keep records the law requires. We do not sell personal information.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with businesses that help us operate, such as our website and email hosting providers and our accounting software provider, and only as far as they need it to provide that service. Some of these providers may store information outside Australia. We also disclose information where the law requires it.

Cookies

This website uses the cookies needed to keep a portal user signed in. It does not use an analytics service. If that changes we will say so here. You can block cookies in your browser, but the portal will not work without them.

How we keep it secure

The website and the portal are served over an encrypted connection. Access to the portal and to our own systems is limited to named users with their own logins. We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires.

Seeing or correcting your information

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Contact us using the details on our Contact page. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, contact us and we will look into it and reply in writing. If you are not satisfied with our reply you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
